Argento's flagship cable architecture
Extreme Edition extends Argento's approach through substantial silver conductor assemblies, separate cable runs, and connectors designed in-house. It sits above Flow Master Reference and Flow Ultima. The distinction is in the scale and application of the construction, with different arrangements for speaker, line-level, phono, and power connections.
Separate runs and integrated damping
The speaker cable uses 480 individually insulated 6N silver conductors per channel, or 960 per stereo pair, arranged in two separate cable runs per channel. Argento's Vibration Damping Material surrounds the conductors. Custom spade contacts use 6N silver, and pressure-fit assembly avoids soldered joints in the signal path. Speaker cables are terminated with spades only because their mass makes banana connectors unsuitable.
Analog interconnects are offered with RCA or XLR terminations. Argento specifies 400 individually insulated 6N silver conductors per stereo pair, together with multi-layer carbon fiber shielding and silver drain wires. The connector housings use a carbon-polymer composite, placing mechanical and interference-control measures around the contact assembly as well as the cable itself.
Dedicated phono connections
The dedicated phono cable includes RCA-to-RCA, XLR-to-XLR, and female DIN-to-RCA or XLR configurations. The DIN connector can be straight or angled at 90 degrees. Argento specifies pure silver DIN contacts, machined PEEK connector parts, carbon fiber shielding, and pressure-fit connections.
Power-cord construction
The power cable uses three separate silver conductor assemblies for live, neutral, and protective earth, with a cross-section of 13.5 mm² per polarity and 40.5 mm² in total. Machined spacers hold the runs apart, with earth positioned between live and neutral. The earth run also carries braided copper-mesh shielding, while custom connectors use 6N silver contacts.
US and Schuko wall plugs are available, with IEC C13 or C19 equipment connectors.
Speaker jumpers and ground cables
The series also includes 30 cm speaker jumpers and ground cables with a 1 m base length. Ground cables are offered with spade or banana terminations.
