Goldmund Mimesis Statement
The Goldmund Mimesis Statement is Goldmund's flagship analog preamplifier, introduced in October 2026. Built on an architecture entirely rethought from previous generations, it physically separates the preamplification electronics from two external power supply units, one dedicated to each channel. Designed and assembled in Geneva, Switzerland, the Mimesis Statement is Goldmund's most advanced analog preamplifier to date.
The Mimesis Line
The Mimesis name has defined Goldmund's preamplifier program since 1987, with each generation advancing the same principle: preserving the integrity of the musical signal with minimal alteration. The Mimesis Statement opens a new chapter, introducing an entirely new architecture and a new generation of electronics. With a frequency response extending to 1.5 MHz, it represents a significant step beyond the previous Mimesis generation.
Three-Chassis Architecture
The Mimesis Statement separates its functions across three chassis. The preamplifier unit houses a newly developed audio board integrating the audio circuitry and new volume-control management. Two external power supply units, one per channel, operate independently from the audio circuitry, increasing physical and electrical isolation and reducing interference between channels. A fully symmetrical internal architecture further ensures equivalent left and right signal paths throughout.
Power Supply and Circuit Design
The power supply electronics are based on Goldmund's discrete regulation principle, with additional voltage-regulation stages in cascade delivering what Goldmund describes as exceptional noise rejection. Proprietary internal wiring and optimized heat dissipation complete an architecture designed to minimize interference and maintain optimal operating conditions for the audio circuitry.
Measured Performance
Frequency response extends from 0.2 Hz to 1.5 MHz at ±3 dB. THD+N measures 0.0002% from unbalanced input to unbalanced output. IMD+N measures 0.0006% on the same path. Signal-to-noise ratio on line input is above 130 dB, and above 138 dB A-weighted.
Design and Controls
The three chassis share a fine recessed gold line that extends across all three enclosures, providing visual continuity across an architecture deliberately separated by function. A new glass cover display and metal-coated front-panel controls complete the exterior. Two Trigger Out connections, switching between 0 V and 12 V, allow the Mimesis Statement to control the operating state of two compatible power amplifiers simultaneously.
