Description

The Marten Dexter Duo is the stand-mount model in Marten's Dexter series, pairing a pure diamond tweeter derived from the Coltrane Supreme Extreme project with a 7.5-inch ceramic mid/bass driver. The M-Core cabinet has a machined carbon fibre faceplate. Marten's Loaded Reflex Line combines bass reflex and transmission line principles via a downward-firing slotted port. Jorma Duality wiring is standard; Statement Edition adds Jorma Statement wiring and upgraded crossovers. Designed and built in Sweden.

Marten Dexter Duo

The Marten Dexter Duo is a 2-way stand-mount loudspeaker and the smallest model in the Dexter series, Marten's newest product family. Introduced at High End Vienna 2026, it is built around a pure diamond tweeter and a 7.5-inch ceramic mid/bass driver, with a new bass loading system developed specifically for the Dexter range. The Dexter Duo is available in Standard and Statement Edition configurations, in four finishes, designed and assembled in Sweden.

The Dexter Series

The Dexter series comprises four models: Dexter Duo, Dexter Trio, Dexter Quartet, and Dexter Quintet. Marten states the series was designed to bring technologies and design principles developed for their flagship products into a wider range of listening spaces. All four models share a common platform: the same pure diamond tweeter, the same triple-layer M-Core cabinet construction, and the same new bass loading system developed specifically for this range. The Dexter Duo and Dexter Trio are 2-way designs built around a ceramic mid/bass driver; the Dexter Quartet and Dexter Quintet are 3-way floorstanders using separate ceramic midrange and carbon fibre bass drivers. All four are wired internally with Jorma Duality cable as standard and assembled at Marten's facility in Sweden.

Cabinet and Faceplate

The cabinet uses Marten's triple-layer M-Core construction. The faceplate is a machined carbon fibre laminate, which Marten states provides rigidity and near-zero resonance, forming a stable acoustic platform for the drivers it surrounds. The woven carbon finish is consistent across all four Dexter models.

Standard and Statement Edition

The Dexter Duo is available in two versions. The Standard Edition is wired internally with Jorma Duality cable. The Statement Edition uses Jorma Statement internal wiring and upgraded crossover components throughout. Both versions share the same drivers, cabinet construction, and bass loading system.

Finishes and Stand

The Dexter Duo is available in four finishes: True Grain Oak, Piano Walnut, Matte Walnut, and Piano Black. True Grain Oak is new to Marten and exclusive to the Dexter series. A dedicated stand with Marten Isolators is available separately for the Dexter Duo.

    Diamond Tweeter

    The 1-inch pure diamond tweeter in the Dexter Duo is derived from development work done on Marten's Coltrane Supreme Extreme project. Its diaphragm moves in pure piston motion beyond the limits of hearing, producing transient response that reflects what is recorded rather than approximating it. This tweeter is shared across all four Dexter models.

    Ceramic Mid/Bass Driver

    The Dexter Duo uses a 7.5-inch Marten ceramic mid/bass driver, the same unit used in the Dexter Trio. The ceramic diaphragm combines the stiffness needed for accuracy with the low mass needed for speed, handling the full range from the lower midrange downward.

    Loaded Reflex Line

    The Loaded Reflex Line is a new bass loading system developed specifically for the Dexter series. It combines bass reflex and transmission line principles through a shaped internal channel and a wide downward-firing slotted port. The result is reduced air velocity, extended bass depth, and greater flexibility in room placement compared to conventional ported designs. Each Dexter model's bass loading is tuned independently to its driver configuration.

    Jorma Duality Wiring

    Jorma Duality, handmade in Sweden. Ultra-pure copper conductors forming a direct signal path from crossover to driver. Standard across every model in the series. Internal wiring is upgraded to Jorma Statement in the Dexter Statement models.
